Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is best known for films such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz early. She played lead roles in television dramas as early at the age of 16. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film), was critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated films that feature the divas.
