 Amy Poehler is an American comedian as well as a voice actor, actor and producer with a an estimated net worth of $25 million. Most famously, she is known for her role in "Parks and Recreation" which is an NBC comedy. She has also been in several films. Her popularity started with "Saturday Night Live". Amy Meredith Poehler was first born in Newton Massachusetts on the 16th of September, 1971. Her parents Eileen and William Poehler were both school teachers. Greg, her brother, who is also a producer, is also an actor. Amy was raised in Burlington, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. Amy discovered her love for acting at the age of 10 when she played Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz" in middle school. As a high school student, she was active in drama, as in addition to being a part of the Student Council and an athlete on both the soccer and softball teams. In 1989, Amy graduated high school and enrolled in the nearby Boston College. Amy was part of an college improv comedy troupe. Amy graduated from Boston College in 1993.
